Recently I have noticed an increase in comment spam, sure I appreciate the extra traffic to my site, but moderation is a pain.
I did a check on what was announcing my site as Wordpress to the internet and I noticed that GD Star rating plugin was doing some sneaky promotion work.

Usually it just says loading, but when it notices bots (known for not being able to do javascript) it takes the opportunity for self promotion. Shame on you Milan Petrovic.
